Aquaponics is the combined culture of fish and plants in recirculating systems and is the most water efficient methods of growing plants and fish. Come find out: how Aquaponics work, learn about the design and operation of different systems from small to large, different fish species that can be farmed, costs of running the systems and general maintenance from an experienced DIY backyard Aquaponics user and small scale commercial Aquaponics system operator. Depending on the level of interest there may also be an Aquaponics field trip to view and learn about operational systems on the weekend following the workshop.
